Why we need you

At EY, we’re committed to building a culture of belonging. We live in a diverse world and we believe the world we work in should reflect this. That’s why we’ve created programmes like this, to ensure everyone is made aware of what we do and given an equal opportunity to work with us. We’re aiming to double the proportion of female and Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) talent in the UK partnership to 40% and 20% BME by July 2025, and we commit 15% of our BAME target to be Black Partners.

Over one day you’ll take part in workshops, panel events and discussions designed to inspire and energise you. As well as learning about other people’s stories, you’ll pick up great advice to help you sculpt your own as you begin your career.

There’ll also be Q&As with our people, information on our D&I strategy, a session delivered by our EY Black Network, assessment centre workshops and the opportunity for networking.

You could even get fast-tracked onto one of our internship or graduate programmes for 2022. Our Discover EY programmes are running from Wednesday 7 April – Thursday 15 April 2021.

The benefits

Pick up great advice and stories to help you design your own career. You’ll gain an insight into our application process and you’ll see what’s available to you in the future.

The requirements

This event is aimed at raising awareness with students from black heritage and you will need to be in your first year at university, or second-year on a four year course. We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an Honours degree in any subject – have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels/ Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.

The event will be held in London and travel and accommodation are paid for. You must currently be studying at a UK university and in the UK at the time of the event (outside UK travel costs cannot be covered).

We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and are looking for individuals who will succeed at EY in the desired role and future qualifications, therefore throughout our recruitment process your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY role. We’re also proud to partner with RARE recruitment, so that your application can be processed in the context of your socio-economic background. This allows us to give you the maximum credit for your achievements, assessing whether you have overachieved in light of your personal circumstances.
