Becoming one of us takes individual talent, the ability to work together, and a passion for putting clients first. With diversity such an important part of our offer, there’s no one Schroders type. But all of us do share a belief in five core values – our guiding principles:
Excellence: We want to excel at what we do. We continually strive to do better.
Innovation: We challenge how things are done and anticipate future opportunities.
Teamwork: We work as one team for our clients. We value the contribution of individuals and encourage healthy debate.
Passion: We share a deep-rooted enthusiasm for what we do. We demonstrate this through the dedication and energy we bring to servicing our clients.
Integrity: We build strong relationships based on trust and confidentiality.
The onus is on us to make the most of the talent at Schroders. That’s why we have created a working environment that is open, collaborative and meritocratic. Highly diverse in the nationalities represented at Schroders – we work hard at nurturing a culture of inclusivity and respect across the world.
We see employee retention as a key client benefit – helping us to foster the deep and lasting relationships that our continued success relies on. And so each individual joining Schroders can expect the same opportunities to learn, grow and progress within the firm. But don’t just take our word for it! When we asked our people what they thought about life at Schroders, this is what they told us…
Apprenticeships – This is a permanent, salaried position offering an entry-level role at Schroders for school leavers. There are apprenticeship opportunities in teams across our business. Each offers the chance to gain expertise and experience in a diverse range of professions, from fund management to research, marketing, finance and technology.
As well as practical work experience, the initial two years of the programme include formal training designed to build expertise and personal capabilities. All of our apprenticeships are fully accredited. Many of our apprentices build long-term careers at Schroders, but wherever their work takes them, they know their training is recognised and valued.
